Who We Are
Heart to Heart Adoption Stories is a podcast dedicated to the stories behind adoption, told by the people who have lived them. We bring together birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive families for long-form conversations that educate, support, and connect the adoption community. Host Donna Pope, a licensed counselor with more than 25 years of walking alongside families, lets guests tell it the way it happened. We believe the people inside adoption are the ones who can speak for it, and that sharing these stories builds understanding and helps others feel less alone on their journey.

Mission Statement
We exist to give the adoption community a place where its stories are heard with respect. Heart to Heart Adoption Stories serves as a bridge connecting birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive families, presenting their experiences with care and accuracy. We make room for the hard topics alongside the joyful ones: the grief and the reunions, the waiting and the moments that change a life. We aim to help the broader public understand the realities of adoption while offering connection and community to those living it. We believe these stories matter and deserve to be told with dignity.

We release new podcast episodes featuring guests from across the adoption community. Host Donna Pope, a licensed clinical counselor and Executive Director of Heart to Heart Adoptions, brings trauma-informed care to conversations where hard questions, complex emotions, and joyful moments have room. These talks build bridges across the community's experiences.
Our Vision of Success
We sit down with adoptees, birth parents, and adoptive families, giving each a turn to speak and offering a fuller, more balanced understanding of the adoption experience. New episodes release weekly, with insight for those personally connected to adoption and for anyone seeking to understand this journey.
